Account Types
There are currently 2 account types: anonymous users (users without an account
or users who are not logged in) and logged in users.
Anonymous users are limited to the following:
- 10 search results per search.
- The order of returned results is alphabetic.
Logged in users have the following benefits:
- Unlimited number of search results. Results are paginated at 10 results per page.
- Results are returned based on PageRank of the site (highest first), with ties being broken by
Alexa rank of the site (lowest first).
- Logged in users can set a PageRank Threshold (explained in the searching
help section).
Logged in users can also submit
sites for inclusion consideration, mark sites as favorite, post public comments about a site, post
private comments about a site (that only they can see), and set up seo campaigns.

SEARCHING
See the account types section for information on how search results are
returned, based upon what kind of user is using Do Follow Me.
Actual searching is by exact string only. For example, if you were to search seo websites it
would be equivalent to a "seo websites" search at a normal search engine. Users generally want to filter
results by type or PageRank rather than by a search string.
If you leave the search field blank all results are returned. Generally you will only use a search
string under very specific conditions.
Checking specific boxes limits results to those types of sites only. Do Follow Me currently classifies sites as:
- Forum Sites
- Blog Sites
- Article Directories
- Free Press Release Sites
- Web Directories
- Social Bookmarking Sites
- Profile Sites
A site can be in multiple categories. However, for a site to be in a specific category, the site must
not use the ref="nofollow" attribute for that category. As an example, some sites have their profile
pages as nofollow, but their blogs are dofollow. In this case, the site would only be listed in the Blog Sites
category.
Logged in users can set the PageRank Threshold (anonymous users cannot). When set, the PageRank Threshold
will limit search results to this PageRank and lower.

ADDING A SITE
If you're logged in, click Add Site near the top right of the page. Try to be as complete and accurate
as possible. Also make sure the site you're adding isn't already in the directory.
Only check categories that the site you are submitting offers and which are dofollow.
When you click submit, the listing goes into queue. An administrator will review the submission as
soon as possible and either approve or deny it.

FLAGGING A SITE
All users can flag sites. When you flag a site, you're stating that something about the listing is incorrect and
needs to be fixed. Flags go to administrators who review them, and then correct site listings if necessary.
When you flag a site, please be as descriptive as possible. If an administrator doesn't understand what you're
trying to explain, they won't be able to fix the listing.
The link to flag a site in on the main listing page only. The flag link is not in the search results. If you're looking
at search results click Full Site Details then click Flag Listing.
Reasons to flag a site include:
- A site has switched to nofollow.
- A site's category list needs to be updated.

POSTING COMMENTS FOR A SITE
To post comments for a site you must be logged in.
There are two types of comments: public and private.
Public comments are posted from the main listing page only. Public comments are fully visible to all users.
Only administrators can delete public comments.
Private comments are posted by you and only visible to you. They are your notes about a specific site. You
can post multiple private comments and you can delete your private comments at any time. Private comments
show on search result pages, your Favorites page, and on main listing pages.

FAVORITE LISTS
If you are logged in you can mark sites as favorite. You favorite list is accessed via the Favorites
link near the top of the page.
